Rosales Wesleyan Bible College
The Wesleyan Bible College in Luzon had its beginning in Baguio City in the late 1930’s. The school was transferred not long afterwards to the Betangcol property in Cabanatuan City.
The Rev. R.K. Storey and his family, were happily building the school campus when the tragic clouds of war began settling over the Philippines. School was interrupted and the missionary family were imprisoned. Following the war, a new property was purchased in Valdefuente, Cabanatuan City, where the Bible School was transferred.
During those years the distribution of churches and the presence of various dialects among the students caused the district council to reconsider the location of the school. A decision was made to relocate the school to a more central location. A property of over three hectares was purchased in the town of Rosales, Pangasinan. The school was then transferred in the early months of 1961. The Wesleyan Bible College has continued to serve the major dialect groups of Luzon. Its location on the crossroads of Central Luzon makes it very ideal for communication and travel to all points.
As the years passed by, a resounding clamor for government recognition is ventilated among church leaders and members as well. And after a long journey of envisioning and decision making, the very first step was done. On October 5, 2007, it was duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Baguio Extension Office and was officially named Rosales Wesleyan Bible College. Thereafter a temporary permit (TP) from the Commission on Higher Education, Region I, was issued on February 14, 2008 to RWBC to operate Level I of both Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education.
The college did not let down on its pursuit of government recognition. After satisfactorily complying with the requirements, CHED again permitted the college to operate Level II on February 13, 2009 and on February 26, 2010, Level III of both the degrees offered.
On March 28, 2011 the Commission on Higher Education, Region I granted and issued a government recognition (GR) for Rosales Wesleyan Bible College, Inc., making it a Certified Higher Education Institution (CHEI).
